PILGRIMAGE TO FATIMA AND SANTIAGO

ITINERARY

Day 1

Arrival in Lisbon. Transfer to Fatima. Holy Mass. Optional participation in the Holy rosary and the procession with candles. Dinner and overnight. 

Day 2

Breakfast. Holy Mass. Travel to Lisbon. Tour of the city beginning in the Belem district from where the sailors of the 15th and 16th centuries navigated to discover new lands. Visit the Tower of Belem, the Monasterio dos Jeronimos, and the Monument of the Discoveries. Then we move to the Alfama district visiting the Se Cathedral and the San Antonio church  built in the birthplace of San Antonio. At the end of the day, great panoramic views of the city from St. George Castle. Dinner and overnight in Fatima.

Day 3

Breakfast. Holy Mass. Travel to Aljustrel, the birthplace of the three shepherds, and visit the places of the apparitions of Valinhos and Loca do Cabeço. Transfer to Alcobaca, the magnificent Cistercian monastery, that is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Transfer to the seaside town of Nazare. Visiting the church with the statue of Our Lady of Nazare famous for its miracles. Stroll along the rugged cliff with wonderful views of the town. Dinner and overnight in Fatima.

Day 4

Breakfast. Visit of the Fatima Sanctuary old and new Basilica, chapel of Apparitions. Holy Mass. Free time for individual prayers. After dinner, participation in the celebration of the Holy Rosary and the procession of the candles.

Day 5

Breakfast. Transfer to Santiago de Compostela. On the way, a short tour of Coimbra, once the most important university center of the country. Arrival in Santiago. Visit the Cathedral with the grave of Saint Jacob. Dinner and overnight in Santiago de Compostela.

Day 6

Breakfast. Holy Mass. Tour of Santiago de Compostela. In the afternoon, individual walks and time for prayer. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7

Breakfast. Transfer to Porto and visit one of the most beautiful Portuguese cities. Walk around the historic city center, visit the Cathedral and the church of Saint Francis, among others. Stroll along the waterfront of the river Duero, free time for coffee and a moment of rest. Continue to Fatima. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Flight home.
