PILGRIMAGE TO SPAIN, PORTUGAL AND FRANCE

ITINERARY

Day 1

Arrival in Barcelona. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight. 

Day 2

Breakfast. Until noon, a walking tour of the city: The Sagrada Familia, the historical center with its winding medieval streets, the Cathedral of St. Eulalia, the monument of Columbus and La Rambla. In the early afternoon, transfer to Zaragoza visiting the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar. Dinner and overnight on the way to Madrid.

Day 3

Breakfast. Transfer to Toledo, the medieval capital of Spain. Stroll through the narrow streets of the historic center, visit the Cathedral and San Tomé church, among others. Transfer to Madrid. Tour of the Spanish capital  visiting the Puerta del Sol, the Mayor Plaza and the Royal Palace (exterior). Dinner and overnight in Madrid.

Day 4 

Breakfast. Visit Avila,  birthplace of Saint Teresa, visiting the Carmelite church, among others. Transfer to Salamanca for a walk around the center of the university city: Plaza Mayor, the old and new Cathedral. Transfer for dinner and overnight to Fatima.

Day 5

Breakfast. Travel to Lisbon. Tour of the city beginning in the Belem district from where the sailors of the 15th and 16th centuries navigated to discover new lands. Visiting the Tower of Belem, the Monasterio dos Jeronimos, and the Monument of the Discoveries. Then we move to the Alfama district with Se Cathedral and the San Antonio church,  built in the birthplace of San Antonio. At the end of the day, great panoramic views of the city from St. George Castle. If time allows, in the early afternoon, drive to Nazare to appreciate one of the most beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean. Return to Fatima. Evening participation in the rosary and the procession with candles. Dinner and overnight in Fatima.

Day 6

Breakfast. Visit of the Sanctuary with participation in religious services. Dinner and overnight in Fatima.

Day 7

Breakfast. Travel to Aljustrel, to visit the birthplace of the three shepherds and visit the places of the apparitions of Valinhos and Loca do Cabeço. Transfer to Santiago de Compostela. On the way, a short tour of Coimbra, once the most important university center of the country. Arrival in Santiago. Visit the Cathedral with the grave of Saint Jacob. Dinner and overnight near Santiago de Compostela.

Day 8 

Breakfast. Transfer to León, to visit the Cathedral. Continue to Burgos, walk through the historic center to visit the Cathedral of Saint Mary of Burgos, among others. Dinner and accommodation near Burgos. 

Day 9 

Breakfast. Transfer to Lourdes, the spiritual capital of France. On the way, a short stop in San Sebastian. Dinner and overnight.

Day 10

Breakfast. Visit the sanctuary with the Crypt, the Basilica of the Sacred Conception, the Basilica of the Rosary, the Via Crucis, the Basilica of Saint Pius X and the Basilica of Saint Bernadette. Dinner. Participation in the procession of the torches. Overnight. 

Day 11

Breakfast. Transfer to Montserrat, the holiest place in Catalonia, where the figure of the Madonna, La Moreneta, is venerated. Time for sightseeing and prayers at the Sanctuary of Montserrat. Dinner and overnight near Montserrat.

Day 12

Breakfast. Until noon, free time in the Guell Park. Time to shop for the last souvenirs. Transfer to the airport. Flight home.
