PILGRIMAGE TO MEXICO AND CUBA

ITINERARY

Day 1

Flight to Mexico. Evening arrival at Mexico City. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 2

Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of Mexico City beginning by the colonial side visiting the majestic Cathedral, Holy Mass, the monumental Presidential Palace and downtown, the Plaza de Armas. Visit one of the most famous museums in the world, the Museum of History and Anthropology, to explore objects of pre-hispanic times. Afternoon boat ride through the ancient canals of Xochimilco, while listening to mariachi and tasting tequila: national drink of Mexico. Dinner and accommodation. 

Day 3

After breakfast visit the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Guadalupe, the most important center of peregrinations in America, were the Virgin of Guadalupe is adorated, the Queen of America. Holy Mass and free time. Transfer to the famous pyramids of Teotihuacan, visit the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Moon, the Temple of Quetzalcoatl and the Palace Complex with murals. Dinner in the area, and later in the evening return to the hotel. Accommodation.

Day 4. 

After breakfast ride to Cuernavaca, the town of "eternal spring", visit the Cathedral and the streets of the historic center of the city founded by Hernán Cortés. Transfer to the silver smithing town of Taxco and walk the labyrinthine lanes of the colonial town, visiting Santa Prisca and San Sebastian baroque church, Holy Mass. Free time for shopping in the silver workshops. Ride to the famous city of Acapulco in the Pacific Coast. Accommodation and free time. All inclusive.

Day 5

All inclusive. Leisure time on the beach. Optional excursion. 

Day 6

All inclusive. Leisure time on the beach. Optional excursion. 

Day 7

Breakfast. Leisure time. Return to Mexico City in the early afternoon. Visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Holy Mass. Optional night out to a Mexican style party. Dinner and accommodation

Day 8

After breakfast transfer to the airport and take a flight to Cuba. Arrive in Havana and ride through the central districts of Havana. Dinner and accommodation. 

Day 9

Breakfast. Sightseeing tour that makes a perfect introduction to Havana, which has been declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We visit Cuba's most famous sea-side avenue, The Malecon, the Revolution Square which is the political and administrative center of Cuba, the University Hill, the Central Park and Capitol, Av. Prado, the old town, the Cathedral, St. Francis Square and the Bodeguita del Medio. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 10

Following breakfast, ride to Cienfuegos and on the way, visit the Indian Village and a crocodile farm in Guama. Dinner and accommodation in Cienfuegos, a city called "The Pearl of the South" for its homogeneous architecture of French inspiration. 

Day 11

Breakfast. Sightseeing trip of Cienfuegos, the historic center recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005, the Cathedral, Jose Marti Square, and Cuban drink tasting in the fabulous Palace del Valle. Transfer to Trinidad, a gem of the Cuban colonial architecture and have a tour of the city, visiting the Plaza Mayor, the Santisima Trinidad Church and the Canchanchara. Ride to the Ingenios Valley, famous for the sugar cane plantations and visit the Iznaga Tower. Dinner and accommodation in the vicinity of Trinidad.

Day 12

After breakfast ride to the famous Varadero, one of the biggest resort areas in the entire Caribbean. On the way there visit Santa Clara, the hometown of Che Guevara. Dinner and accommodation in Varadero. All-inclusive hotel.

Day 13

All inclusive.  Leisure time on the beach. Optional excursion.  

Day 14

All inclusive. Leisure time on the beach. Optional excursion. 

Day 15

Breakfast. Free time to relax or shop till noon. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Mexico City and back home.
