PILGRIMAGE TO ARGENTINA

ITINERARY

Day 1

Arrival to Buenos Aires in the night. Transfer to hotel and accommodation.

Day 2

Following breakfast, we visit the most important pilgrimage center of Argentina - the city of Lujan with its neo-gothic Basilica, built in honor of the Virgin of Luján, the saint patron of Argentina. In the afternoon a tour of Buenos Aires, visiting Plaza de Mayo - the oldest public square in Buenos Aires, the pink house - the balcony  where Evita Peron spoke, Santa Fe Av., the port district la Boca, San Telmo where the tango was born, July 9 Avenue - the widest avenue in the world with its famous Obelisco. Optional tango show in the evening. Dinner and accommodation. 

Day 3

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to take a flight to Trelew. Arrival and transfer to the hotel in Puerto Madryn. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 4 

Breakfast. Visit of the Valdes Peninsula - the largest wildlife reserve in South America. During the trip we observe numerous birds: pelicans, cormorants, and oystercatchers, as well as wild gwanako and Nandu. In the northern part of the peninsula, around Caleta Valdes, you can see numerous penguin colonies (September-March) and sea lions. In the afternoon we sail on a boat looking for the whales from Antarctica (May-December) who are in search of warm water necessary for procreation. In the evening, return for dinner and overnight to the hotel.

Day 5

Breakfast. Transfer to the Punto Tombo's penguins reserve to learn of the life of these animals. Transfer to the airport for a flight to the city at the end of the world - Ushuaia. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6

Breakfast. Ride on a boat through the Beagle channel. Arrival to the lighthouse at the end of the world and to the Bird Islands. Transfer to the lakes of Escondido y Fagnano. Dinner and overnight. 

Day 7

Breakfast. Travel to the National Park of Tierra del Fuego. Admiring jagged mountain peaks - a moment of reverie in the edge of the world away from civilization. Observation of various species of birds. In the afternoon transfer to the airport for a flight to El Calafate. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8

Breakfast. Transfer to the Argentinean Lake. Sail out in the cold waters of the lake on a cruise ship. During the day we arrive to Upsala and Spegazzini glaciers. Stroll along the second glacier in the scenery of the Patagonian landscapes. Free time for rest. Return by cruise to the port and then by bus to the hotel. Dinner and overnight. 

Day 9

Breakfast. Transfer to the most famous glacier in the world - Perito Moreno. Admire the breathtaking view of the detachment of the ice blocks. In the afternoon, drive to Puerto Natales (Chile). Dinner and overnight. 

Day 10

Breakfast. A full day trip to the Torres del Paine Park. Admire the magnificent views of the jagged famous towers of Paine and the Paine Horns. Visit of the Milodon cave, where the skin of a giant sloth who lived in this area 10,000 years ago was discovered. In this mysterious, wreathed by the cold winds wilderness, there is a lot of wild animals and birds like the guanaco, condors, and flamingos, among others. Return to Puerto Natales for dinner and overnight. 

Day 11

Breakfast. Drive back to Argentina to El Calafate airport and fly to the Iguazu waterfalls. In the evening, go out for a folkloric dinner. Accommodation. 

Day 12

Breakfast. Admire the famous waterfalls belonging to the National Park from the Brazilian side - strolls along this miracle of nature. Dinner and overnight. 

Day 13

Breakfast. Wander along numerous cascades located in the heart of the jungle on the Argentinian side: the Devil's throat, Bosetti, Two Sisters, Saint Martin, Brotherhood, among others. Dinner and accommodation. 

Day 14

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to fly to Buenos Aires. Transfer to the international airport to take a flight back home.
