ON SUNNY BEACHES OF CUBA AND MEXICO

ITINERARY 

Day 1

Flight to Mexico. Arrival in Mexico City. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 2

Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of Mexico City beginning by the colonial side and visiting the majestic Cathedral, the monumental Presidential Palace and downtown, Plaza de Armas. Afterwards visit one of the most famous museums in the world, the Museum of History and Anthropology, where we find objects of prehispanic times. In the afternoon we take a boat ride through the ancient canals of Xochimilco listening to mariachi and tasting tequila the national drink of Mexico. Dinner and accommodation. 

Day 3 

Breakfast. Visit of one of the national historic sites in Mexico, the Three Cultures Square in Tlatelolco. Afterwards we visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the most important center of peregrinations in America, where the Virgin of Guadalupe is adorated, the Queen of America. Later we continue our trip to the famous pyramids of Teotihuacan, visiting the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Moon, the Temple of Quetzalcoatl. We have dinner in the area, and in the evening, return to the hotel. Accommodation. 

Day 4

After breakfast travel to Cuernavaca to visit the Cathedral and stroll down the streets of the historic center of the city founded by Hernán Cortés. Later we ride to the silversmithing town of Taxco and walk the labyrinthine lanes of the colonial town, visiting Santa Prisca and San Sebastian baroque church. Free time for shopping in the silver workshops. Later we travel to the famous city of Acapulco on the pacific coast. Accommodation and free time. All-inclusive.

Day 5

Breakfast. Leisure time on the beach. Optional excursion. All-inclusive.

Day 6

Breakfast. Transfer to Mexico City in the early afternoon. On the way visit the former Hacienda de Cortes where we eat dinner. We have the option of a night out to a mexican-style party. Accommodation.

Day 7

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for our flight to Cuba. Arrival in Havana. Transfer to the hotel, dinner and accommodation. Optional night out to one of the world's most famous cabarets, Tropicana (EUR 80).

Day 8

Breakfast. We have a sightseeing tour that is the perfect introduction to Havana which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We visit Cuba's most famous sea-side avenue the Malecon, the Revolution Square which is the political and administrative center of Cuba, the University Hill, the Central Park and Capitol, Av. Prado a street on the dividing line between centro Havana and old Havana, the Old Town, the Cathedral, St. Francis Square and the Bodeguita del Medio. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 9

After Breakfast we travel to Pinar del Rio, a tobacco-growing province. Visit the Vinales Valley where people have been growing tobacco for over 200 years and where the best Cuban tobacco comes from. We have a short stop at the provincial capital also called Pinar del Rio. We visit the Indios cave and an underground boat ride viewing pre-historical cave drawings. We return to Havana in the evening. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 10

Breakfast. We travel to Varadero, the famous tourist resort town with more than 20 km of white sandy beaches. On the way we visit an Indian Village and a crocodile farm in Guama. In the afternoon we ride to visit the Bay of Pigs on the Caribbean Sea. Dinner and accommodation in Varadero. All inclusive.

Day 11

Breakfast. Leisure time. Optional excursion. All-inclusive. 

Day 12

Breakfast. Leisure time. Optional excursion. All-inclusive. 

Day 13

Breakfast. Leisure time. Early afternoon transfer to the Havana airport to take a flight back home.
