TRIP TO PERU AND BOLIVIA

ITINERARY

Day 1

Arrival to Lima. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 2 

Breakfast. Visit of the colonial center of Lima, Old Town, Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the monastery and the church of Santo Domingo, and the building of the Main Post Office. In the afternoon, visit the Gold Museum, to explore the largest collection of gold artifacts in the world . Dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Breakfast. Transfer to the Huacachina oasis, short stop. Ride to Nazca. Optional flight over the Nazca lines: giant geometric patterns and drawings engraved on the plateau (approx. 100 USD). Dinner and overnight. 

Day 4

Breakfast.  Ride to admire the figures on the Nazca plateau from the lookout platform. Ride to Paracas. Boat trip to the Ballestas Islands: admiring the Humboldt penguins, seals, sea lions, and wild birds. Return to Lima. Dinner and overnight. 

Day 5

Early breakfast in the form of a box-lunch and transfer to the airport for departure to Juliaca. After arrival, transfer to Puno. Visit of the Cathedral and the central square. Sail in the waters of the world's highest navigable lake - Titicaca. Visit the Uros islands (made of reed): watching the life and customs of the indigenous people from the Aymara language group. Cross the border with Bolivia. Arrival to Copacabana. Visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Candelaria. Free time for shopping in the center square. Dinner and overnight.  

Day 6

Breakfast. We sail again through the Lake Titicaca, to the Island of the Sun. Walk around this island full of charms and surprising landscapes. Visiting the remains of Inca buildings. Transfer to the capital of Bolivia, the city of La Paz. Dinner and overnight. 

Day 7

Breakfast. City tour of La Paz, visiting Murillo square, Cathedral, Franciscan church, the witches market -  where a variety of souvenirs can be bought as well as bizarre substances and mixtures recommended by local shamans. Ride to the lunar valley. Dinner and overnight. 

Day 8 

Breakfast. Visit the tomb towers in Sillustani. Continue towards Cusco. Visit Racchi, where the Temple of God Viracocha is located. Dinner and overnight in Cusco. 

Day 9

Breakfast. Tour of the ancient capital of the Inca empire, Cusco. Stroll through the colonial center, visiting the Cathedral, Plaza de Armas, Coricancha (Temple of the Sun). Visit the nearby Inca ruins: Qenco, Tambomachay, Puka Pucara and the Sacsayhuaman fortress. Folkloric evening with dinner. 

Day 10

Breakfast. Visit of the Holy Urubamba Valley. Travel to the ruins of the city Pisac and visit the market. Free time to buy souvenirs. Trip to the ruins at Ollantaytambo and to the Indian church at Chincheros. Dinner and overnight in Cusco.

Day 11

Breakfast. In the early morning, ride the Backpacker train to one of the most magical places in the world, the ruins of the lost city of the Incas Machu Picchu. Return by train to Cusco. 

Day 12

Breakfast. Trip to the pre-Columbian city of Pachacamac built in the desert. Transfer to the airport and departure to Lima and to the country of origin.
